Deacon James Gorman:
Deacon James Gorman is a cradle Catholic from Brooklyn, New York. He shares his Sacramental Vocations with his wife Helen since 1966. They have a daughter, a son, and five grandchildren all living in New York.
He was ordained in June 1997 in the Archdiocese of New York. He served in the full time ministry of Director of Pastoral Care and Education, at a major New York hospital, National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Hospice/Palliative Care, Ethics Review Board and Bereavement Ministry.
He and his wife retired to Indian Trail, NC June 2010 and were assigned to St. John Neumann parish January 2011.
He serves the people and community of St. John Neumann with responsibilities in bereavement, catechesis, annulment advocate, baptism catechesis and at the will of our Pastor.
His favorite hobbies are dancing to the 50s and 60s with Helen, the theater, concerts, good restaurants with great parish friends.
Committed to fulfilling my Ordination calling to serve the people of God, he is focused on spreading the Gospel as he serves at the Table of Our Lord.
