Staff and Catechist Covenant
We, the Faith Formation staff and catechists of St. John Neumann, are dedicated to supporting the work of parents in passing on the Faith to the next generation of young Catholics. We commit to leading lives of Christian example by immersing our daily lives in a rhythm of prayer and the Sacraments. We will strive in all ways to follow Christ’s example of servant leadership, to teach in accordance to Church teaching, and to bring the joy of the Gospel to all we meet.

Registrations are  done in person in the Faith Formation office Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Please remember, you need to register your kids each year! This is necessary since we have families transferring in and out of the parish regularly.

Please stop by the office for assistance if you have just moved to Charlotte and would like to transfer your child’s records from previous Faith Formation classes or Catholic School to enroll here.

Enroll Early

The earlier you enroll, the more options you have regarding session times and payment options.

Enroll All

Please enroll ALL your children, even in non-Sacramental years. Keeping your children enrolled each year not only shows them the importance of growing in their faith, but also allows them to be on track to celebrate the Sacraments with their friends and classmates. And with the SJN Family Fee, it should add little or no cost to your payment. Plus, we love seeing their smiling faces every year!

Pray about Teaching

What we do is impossible without the dedicated men and women who serve as catechists. Could God be calling you to join these wonderful disciples? The rewards are priceless (And the 50% discount doesn’t hurt either)

Two Program Models

We are excited to offer different Faith Formation program options in an effort to meet the needs of each family. Depending on the grade level and sacramental needs of your children, you will be able to choose from one of two models: Traditional or Family Home-based.

Parent Resources and Support

As parents, you are the primary catechists (teachers) of the faith for your children. What your children learn at Faith Formation should be supplemental to what they are learning at home on a daily basis. Look for resources and enrichment events from the Faith Formation office to support you in your role as primary catechist.

Traditional Parish-Based Program

Classes take place at the parish once a week throughout the school year. Volunteer catechists needed!
