Youth Confirmation

Confirmation is the third sacrament of initiation, after Baptism and First Communion. During this sacrament the Holy Spirit is strengthened in us to help us be better disciples and grow in our faith. Here at St. John Neumann our confirmation program is three years and students generally begin classes in the 6th grade and receive their Confirmation when in the 8th grade.  We also have options to serve students who are beginning the program in older grades. If the student is close to turning 18, we invite them to join our RCIA program.

During Confirmation prep, students are required to turn in specific paperwork within the required time period in order to ensure that your student will remain on track towards making their Confirmation on time.

In addition to paperwork, each student is required to attend ONE mandatory Confirmation retreat per year. The retreat schedule for the 2022-2023 year is as follows:

  Confirmation 1 retreat (for Confirmation 1, RCIP 1): October 21, 2023

  Confirmation 2 retreat (for Confirmation 2, RCIP 2): March 16, 2024

  Confirmation 3 retreat (for Confirmation 3, RCIT 2): February 9-11, 2024

Please use the link below to sign up for the Confirmation 3 retreat. Be sure to use the STUDENT NAME (not parent name) for sign up so we can be sure to mark our attendance properly. All Confirmation 3 and RCIT 2 students are required to attend this retreat. If you have multiple students, please be sure to sign up each, individual child for a time slot, or we will not have room for them. Please only sign up for ONE time slot per person!
