Dispensation:
Bishop Jugis has granted a dispensation from the requirement to attend Mass on Sundays. However, the Divine Law obligation to keep holy the Lord’s Day remains. Therefore, we urge anyone to refrain from unnecessary work, perform acts of charity, and additional prayer. Praying the Rosary individually or with others is especially encouraged. The daily readings can be found at http://usccb.org
An Act of Spiritual Communion:
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Message From Fr. John...
To my dear St. John Neumann Parish family:
Samuel shows us in the first reading today his inexperience with speaking with the Lord or hearing the call of the Lord. It is not until Eli realizes what is happening that Samuel is able to reply. Eli was able to do this because he already had a relationship with God through prayer. Without a regular prayer life we are much more like Samuel. We will either not understand what is happening or we might never even hear the Lord call out to us. God speaks to us in a number of ways. Sometimes he sends someone to speak with us, like God sent the prophets to Israel. Sometimes we hear his voice at Mass during a homily or when the readings are being read and we are inspired by some thought or idea that comes to us. Or sometime when we are reading scripture or a spiritual book that sometime grabs our attention. When these things happen, it is time to pray, to seek the call of the Lord. This is what Samuel did when Eli told him what was happening. The next time the Lord called, Samuel began to pray, or in other words he had a conversation with God as the scripture tells us.
